BEYONDER is a Norwegian energy tech company that has developed the next generation of sustainable Li-ion capacitors and supercapacitors for the heavy-duty industry sector.
Beyonder’s technology will bring a decisive change to CO2-emissions where it really matters. Our operation in Norway is powered by clean hydropower, and our location in Scandinavia will limit the need for long-distance shipment of materials and battery cells to our target markets in Europe. Beyonder’s game changing technology is eco-friendly and does not require cobalt, nickel or other heavy metals. We minimize the use of toxic chemicals, use pure water as solvent and need significantly less energy for production. Having developed a patented highly transformative and sustainable “activated carbon production solution” from Norwegian forest sawdust as one of the main ingredients, means local sourcing and re-use of waste material.
Beyonder are now setting up a prototype line, as well as a pilot line at Beyonder Battery Centre (BBC), for the first commercialised products to be offered to the marked. The BBC will be a R&D factory to make sure Beyonder has the capacity to realise even more innovative battery technology products long term.
We are looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will take the role as the executive in charge of the organization's technological needs as well as its research and development (R&D). The CTO will be accountable for internal business processes and develop innovative products in next generation`s sustainable energy storage solutions.
Our CTO will represent Beyonder to the outside world and will attend conferences, sales meetings and other events, strengthening the Company`s brand image. We are looking for a person with entrepreneurial spirit, who is a natural coordinator, and has a proven track record in driving technology projects from the R&D lab out to large scale commercialised products. As our CTO, you will take full ownership of our product architecture, our technical output, our technical strategy and roadmap, manage our technical team and develop our technical culture. You should be able to challenge and mentor engineers, as you will be building up the tech team as we scale.
